Subject: [CT Birds] Naugatuck State Forest West Block highlights
The New Haven Bird Club field trip to the Naugatuck SF West Block was held
this morning. Highlights were a pair of HOODED WARBLERS seen extremely well
along the path, Black-billed Cuckoo (heard), many Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers,
Blue-headed Vireo, numerous Veery, a Swainson's Thrush, Scarlet Tanagers,
and 17 warbler species, including Worm-eating Warbler, Chestnut-sided
Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, and Prairie Warbler. A total of 65
species were recorded on the day. Full report on ebird.
