Subject: [Ohio-birds] Snipe, Woodcock and Other Migrants [Trumbull County]
Tuesday evening I had a Wilson's Snipe and an American Woodcock calling and
displaying near my home. While mowing today, I spooked the snipe and it
flew away from me. It was hanging out in a low spot of tall grass that
still has standing water. There was a pair displaying courtship behavior in
that spot a couple of years ago, but I never located a nest or saw young
ones.

Two White-crowned Sparrows are still frequenting the feeder area. A
Northern Oriole and Warbling Vireo are singing all day, Eastern Meadowlarks
are singing in the field, and we're up to at least three Ruby-throated
Hummingbirds at the feeders.
