Subject: Lone Star area birding
I birded in the environs of Lone Star town and Lone Star Lake (Douglas Co.) this morning (5/12). Of the 70 species, highlights were:

At Chicken Creek (E 850 Rd.):

Black-Billed Cuckoo

Blue-Winged Warbler (seen well)

Scarlet Tanager (2)


Colyer Cemetery:

Lincoln's Sparrow

Blue Grosbeak


Lone Star Lake:

Prothonotary Warbler (2)

Great-Tailed Grackle--farm west of the lake


Clinton Dam:

Bald Eagle


Phil Wedge

Lawrence
