Subject: [ia-bird] N. Mockingbird Van Buren County
Saw a Northern Mockingbird fly across the road right across from the field
full of Bobolinks. Dickcissel and Eastern Meadowlarks were also calling,
below is the GPS point for the Mockingbird and Bobolinks. Got a good look
at mockingbird as it perched, then saw the white patches on wings as it
flew east into the nearby trees.
26592-26998 Jersey Avenue, Mount Sterling, Iowa, US (40.655, -91.996), Van
Buren County, Iowa

West of Sugema I also had Henslows sparrows, 2 yellow breasted chats.

At intersection of 235th St and IA Oak Grove Ave, the smaller pond was very
productive. Sora, Hooded Merganser with 10 ducklings, N. Bobwhite and
Pheasant calling, plus a Bell's Vireo, Yellow Warbler, Common
Yellowthroats, etc.
