Subject: More warblers in Harpers Ferry
In the oak tree shading the Womans Club herb sale this morning:

Blackpoll and Magnolia singing
Mama robin on her nest

Down on Virginius Island:
my FOY Tennessee warbler
Bay-breasted
Yellow-throated
and Blackpoll - all singing.

In my yard yesterday:
Blackpoll singing
first of the grackle fledglings out of the nest. They've been a noisy
bunch in the nest (thick in the back yews) and now they're on the loose
with faces only a Mama could love!

The Blackpoll invasion has begun.
