Subject: [CT Birds] Summer Hill Road
A walk north of the small bridge on north Summer Hill Road gave me the following birds: Magnolia, Yellow, Blue-winged, Worm-eathing, Tennessee, Parula, Black & White, Black-throated Blue, Blackburnian, and Pine Warblers, Redstart, Ovenbird, Northern Waterthrush, Yellowthroat, Red-eyed Vireo,Yellow-throated Vireo, Wood Thrush, Veery, Great-crested Flycatcher, Phoebe, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Scarlet Tanager, Rose-brested Grosbeak, Swamp Sparrow , and Broad-winged Hawk.
Use to have drumming grouse there as well, but haven’t hear one in many years.
