CoBirders, This evening I had a Yellow-throated Vireo on the west side of the western-most pond. The bird was low in a boxelder along with a Yellow Warbler. My first thought was that it was a Cassin's Vireo, since one was reported at this site a few days ago. But that was ruled out due to the yellow throat that extended about halfway to the belly and the overall yellowish green head with bright yellow spectacles.
After a few minutes the bird flew in the direction of the pond, and I was not able to relocate it, even with the sharp eyes of Peter Gent and Stephan Chang helping me. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera. I hope the bird sticks around and that others are able to get on it.
