Subject: [cobirds] Ferruginous Hawk - Aurora ?

Our Denver Audubon wildlife line got a call this afternoon from Michael. He watches a section in Aurora between Moline & Peoria, between Colfax & 13th ave. (Near the Anschutz Center & Aurora High School). It includes Mt. Nebo Cemetery. It has an active prairie dog town (which seems unique for suburban Aurora).
He has observed a hawk there for a couple of years that he thinks is a Ferruginous. In the last couple of days it has carried sticks - as if to a nest in the area. If any Cobirder lives near there or happens to go there, it sounds worth checking on.
