Subject: [Ohio-birds] FW: Black-throated Gray Warbler - Holmes Co. - No
After an amazing 18 day stay, the Black-throated Gray Warbler that was first found on April 17th by Mark Wengerd and his brothers was last seen on May 4th, reported to eBird by Cristopher Collins. Several people including the Wengerds looked for it yesterday & on Saturday with no luck. The Wengerds mentioned that the farmer who rents the farm will be turning his angus cows out this week so if someone gets there and the gate is closed it is no longer practical to go look for it as there will be a bull with the cows. Hopefully everyone that wanted to see it was there and got to see it. A big thank you goes to the farmer for allowing birders the access to this site to see the celebrity that was seen by several hundred birders.

Bird on!

Eli Hershberger reports the Black-throated Gray Warbler was still present this morning at the half mile point of the farm lane. The address is 3864 TR 366 Millersburg, there is a sign at the end of the farm lane that says "Black-throated Gray Warbler". The lane is open to drive back but could be a little muddy with the rain we had yesterday. The bird was seen on the south side of the pond that is closest to the lane but has also been hanging around between that pond and the pond at the edge of the small woodlot.

Good Luck,
Eli Miller
