Subject: [COBOL] ODFW’s proposed land acquisition in the Summer Lake Valley public meeting May 14th
*ODFW’s proposed land acquisition in the Summer Lake Valley.*

The property is a developed 560 acre wetland complex that would be added to
Summer Lake Wildlife Area. It was developed by the late Don and Carol
Edmunds of Bend as a wildlife sanctuary for migrant and breeding wildlife
and a site for disabled/disadvantaged youth to learn and appreciate nature
and the wildlife resource.

If the acquisition is successful, it will provide additional birding areas
and potentially other amenities for Central Oregon birders.

*Public input and support from out of area wildlife enthusiasts would be
very helpful to acquisition process.*

There will be a public meeting in Summer Lake (at The Lodge at Summer
Lake) on Monday, May 14th at 6:00 pm where I will be making a PowerPoint
presentation and to solicit public input. All are welcome. See attachment
