Subject: [ia-bird] FOY Bobolink Sac County
I did some birding on a two mile stretch of the Sauk Rail Trail
yesterday (Southern Sac County, IA) and was delighted to see a Bobolink!

Not a complete list, but some other notables from the day were:

Clay- colored Sparrows (FOY)
White-throated Sparrows
White-crowned Sparrows (FOY)
Harris Sparrows
Numerous Brown Thrashers
Catbird (FOY)
Palm Warbler
Yellow Warbler (FOY)
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Common Yellowthroat (FOY)
Barn Swallows
Numerous Mourning Doves

The Barn Swallows seemed to be getting insects above and along the creek
and the warblers were all hopping around on the banks seeming to be
doing the same.

Was a gloomy, chilly, off and on rainy walk, but the birding made up for
