It was a birdy day at Springbrook Prairie in Naperville, Thursday morning with many species making their first appearance of the spring. There were large numbers of Palm Warblers plus Black-and-White, Yellow-rumped, Golden-winged, Nashville, Northern Parula, Yellow, Northern Waterthrush, American Redstart, Yellowthroat and Canada. I saw all five expected thrushes, and there were Great-crested and Least Flycatchers and Eastern Kingbird.. In the Prairie, Bobolink, Sedge Wren, and Henslow's Sparrow were back.
Also had my first ticks of the year.
