Birders,

There must have been some movement last night because the town was hopping with good birds; 68 species, including 13 warblers, before 9 AM. Highlights:

--Moore Fields: 4 Pipits with almost red breasts, Harrier, Kestrel, Yellow Warbler, Savannah Sparrow

--Surrey Lane Marsh: Green Heron, Baltimore Oriole, Northern Waterthrush, Warbling Vireo

--Thompson Forest on Wednesday Hill Road (new town land): Purple Finch, Barred Owl, 11 species of warblers, including Blue-winged and Black-throated Blue

--Woodridge park area: Louisiana Waterthrush in my backyard (terrible habitat, but he's gamely on day 3 of belting it out), Scarlet Tanager, Kingbird, Yellow-throated Warbler
