The cold, tedious, and frequently ridiculous weather of March and April may finally be behind us, as the clear skies and south winds on this first day of May brought many new birds to Sewickley Park, Allegheny Co this morning. Tomorrow promises to be even better across the region. Among nine species of warbler this morning were Chestnut-sided, Nashville, and Palm, but Cerulean was still missing and is now officially about a week late in returning (like so many other species). Red-eyed Vireo put in its FOY appearance today as well.

Should be a fun rest of the week.

Good birding,
