Comments: There was a good migration at Lake Erie Bluffs this morning, despite west-southwest winds. There were a lot more songbirds migrating today and fewer waterbirds. Swallows and blackbirds were the most obvious migrants today. There were also 237 chimney swifts this morning. Only 76 flickers were counted, so their migration is winding down.

Birds of note were two willets heading west over the lake.A migrating mockingbird was a surprise. We get them along the lake, but this was flying high and migrating. There were large numbers of vultures, but low numbers of hawks. the wind switched more westerly and may have pushed them more inland.

Winds were gusty and were west-southwest and changed to more of a west wind.. Flight direction was to the west. From 7:00 am-10-40 am counted migrants flying by the tower off Clark Road. The remainder of the time was spent walking the trails west of Lane Road.
