Subject: Sure enough Anhinga in the Ozarks at Kings River Preserve
Rose Ann Barnhill was fishing in Kings River Preserve on Sunday, April 29, and photographed an Anhinga! Previously, there was only a single well-documented occurrence in the western Ozarks -- Mike Mlodinow, June 15, 1991 (AAS document no. 1245). There was one subsequent report for April 9, 2008. Rose Ann's record is our second or third and the FIRST time the bird has been photographed here. I have forwarded her report, and pictures, both to Lyndal York (AA) and Dan Schieman (for ebird).
