Subject: [ia-bird] (not an obserevation)--Breeding Bird Survey still in need of volunteers
The federal Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) still needs to fill 6 routes
currently vacant in Iowa. If you are an experienced birder and willing to
conduct a survey for at least three years, please contact me ASAP. The
survey period begins at the end of May and runs until early July, with
early- to mid-June being the best time to complete a survey route.

Here is a list of survey routes still in need of a good volunteer.

- Williamsburg (Iowa Co.)
- Hudson (Black Hawk Co.)
- Dinsdale (Tama Co.)
- Neola (Pottawattamie Co.)
- Washta (Cherokee Co.)
- Tipton (Cedar Co.)

For more information about this critical annual bird survey--one of the
most important in North America--check out the USGS BBS website at the
following URL:
