Subject: [NHBirds] Waterfowl Fallout along Connecticut River Sunday

Laura Tobin just reported (Sunday 2 pm) a huge fallout of waterfowl at Comerford Dam on the CT River. This is the next dam below Moore Dam where Bob Quinn just reported large numbers of grebes and other waterfowl. Rain and low cloud ceilings are probably the reason for the waterfowl to set down.

Five of us were working on trails at the Scotland Brook Audubon Sanctuary in Landaff on Sunday morning and we a noted some waterfowl on Pearl Lake including 2 pair of bufflehead, 1 pair of surf scoters, 3 common mergansers, 2 mallards and a herring gull. Nothing like what others are seeing along the reservoirs.
