Subject: Black-throated blue warbler - Cumberland County
Was pleasantly surprised to see a Black-throated Blue Warbler join aNorthern Parula along a row of short trees whose limbs hung out over the lakeat Colonel Denning State Park.  These two shared the trees with some Yellow-rumped and Palm Warblers in full breeding colors.  It was a colorful, but silent crew.  Adding some song to the lakeside gathering werea couple of Louisiana Waterthrushes. That beautiful slurred song tells me that spring is here in central PA.Bill Franz / Newville
