Saw an Orange-crowned Warbler and heard a House Wren singing its heart out at the park today while doing geology presentations at the bridge. Both were First of Year for me. The park's awesome volunteer naturalist Steve Lay located the very obscure Golden Eagle nest for us this year and recently confirmed one white eaglet making its first appearance. Thank you Steve, you rock! Happy birthday to John Muir and a good Earth Day to all.
