Subject: [JERSEYBI] Cooper's Hawk pairing
Howdy,
Interesting sighting in our senior village in Manchester this morning.
Came upon a pair of Coops. The male had just delivered a "present" to his
intended, then flew to a nearby tree. Got a few shots of him-full adult
plumage. A few minutes later, he returned and they mated. I took a few
pictures of her, as she Fed on his gift, but she was in the sun. When I
loaded the pics on to the computer and lightened the females shots, I
discovered she was still in juvenile plumage. Thought that was an
interesting sighting to share.
