Subject: FOY LA Waterthrush and others - Northampton County
I had "my" LA Waterthrush this morning on my little creek at home in
Upper Mt. Bethel Township. I've had one there ever since I began
birding as a kid, so I'm not sure how many generations that might be.
I always use that as my real sign of spring almost here, other than
the Wood Frogs and Spring Peepers starting to sing. Even though the
last two years has had March being rather wintry, these things are
following the same schedule.

I took for granted the Phoebe who showed up on Good Friday (also a
regular on the same clothesline every year), and almost overlooked the
first Osprey on Bangor Vein Road at the bridge this Thursday, the 5th
of April. I guess he's checking out this area since Minsi is going to
be pretty dry this year.
