A group of approximately 25 Double-crested cormorants was flying in formation high over the Monongahela River last evening. Yesterday at the Wildflower Reserve, we found a small group of Golden-crowned kinglets. The Long-tailed ducks, previously reported by Mark Vass were still at Moody Rd. pond in the afternoon. We also found an active Red-tailed hawk nest in the general area. And, reporting for my son; he found a Winter wren late yesterday afternoon while mountain biking in South Park.
