Very active birding along the river north of the Great Falls Tavern Visitors Center. In addition to the Blue Heron/DC Cormorant rookeries and the eagles on their nest, Palm Warblers, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Yellow-throated Warblers and a Louisiana Waterthrush were all streamside. We flushed a tom Turkey, which flew over to Conn Island and proceeded to display, fanning its tail and strutting. Nice!
