All, The reported species total was 78 this past week. The highlight was a waterfowl fallout 3/30. 14 duck species were reported including: 1 Blue-winged Teal male - 3/30 Green-winged Teal - high report 22 3/30 1 Greater Scaup male - 3/26 photo 8 Long-tailed Duck 3/30 Bufflehead - high report 14 3/30 Ruddy Duck - high report 26 3/30-3/31 Common Loon - high report 3 3/31
Wild Turkey - several males strutting both on Creek Rd. and New Galena Rd. Pied-billed Grebe Horned Grebe - high 41 3/30 Double-crested Cormorant - high report 89 3/31 Osprey - high report 3 3/25 & 3/30 4 gull species including Lesser Black-blacked Gull -high report 25 3/31 and Great Black-backed Gull - high report 5 3/27 E. Phoebe- high report 2 3/27 Tree Swallow - high report 9 3/31

The Sandhill Cranes continued at Pine Run to at least 3/28.. The two birds last spring in the upper county were last reported 3/28/17. Thanks to all who reported their sightings.
