Meant to send this earlier--Ring-necked Duck at Sugar Hollow reservoir on March 28.
The eagle pair there is nesting, and they must survive on the fish stocked fairly frequently by the game department. Because the water is drawn down quite a bit when rain is not abundant (as has been the case for the last 2 years and as threatens to be the case again this year), aquatic wildlife is disappearing. There used to be lots of life up there, but now the water and the immediate area around it seems all but dead. It's very sad.
