Subject: [JERSEYBI] Fairview Farms summary
I had asked last week about Fairview Farms and got MANY responses, but
all off-list. I'll try to summarize them:

Fairview, near Bedminster, is the HQ of the Upper Raritan Watershed
Association.  It is in the same area as the Willowwood - Bamboo Brook -
Black River County Park area. It is a beautiful area with a number of
walks in mixed habitats, but the habitats are fairly patchy and
individually small, so the true specialist birds in each habitat are not
often found.  The fields which its name implies are likewise not very
large and do not get the very specialized grassland birds.  There is a
nature walk there almost every Monday at 8 am, and it is in fact birded
fairly regularly, so the species list is well developed.

Thanks to all who replied, and I do think that Jerseybirds readers are
interested in learning about new places to bird, so everyone should feel
free to reply to the list on questions like these.
