This afternoon I found the Eurasian Green-winged Teal at Fort Cassin (thanks Tyler, Marc, and Peggy). In addition I spotted a Greater White-fronted Goose with a group of about 250 Canada Geese in the open water near the occupied Bald Eagle nest on Hawkins Road.

I did some waterfowling this morning through Addison County and there were a few highlights worth sharing.
First, there was a Eurasian Green-winged Teal at Fort Cassin in Ferrisburgh that was first reported by Marc and Peggy Faucher yesterday. There were only 3 other teal present so it was easy to locate.
Next, there was a Greater White-fronted Goose in a flock of Canada Geese in a field on Slang Road in Panton.
Last, there was a male Barrow's Goldeneye on the north side of the Chimney Point Bridge in Addison. It was in a small flock of 10 Common Goldeneye so it was easy to spot.
The number of geese in the area now is almost overwhelming.
