Subject: Re: [JERSEYBI] Question -Historic Ruff sightings at Pedricktown Marsh (Gloucester Co.)
I have always thought that the Pedricktown Ruff flock was a lost flock. They found us. And kept coming back. I am a firm believer in
birds hitting the same areas for migration stop overs, wintering areas, etc. Although I have wondered also whether the habitat could
have changed. Something I will never figure out, not having exact habitat descriptions of the area at the time. The few times I have
tried for Ruff there recently, I haven't had that many shorebirds at all.
