Subject: [ia-bird] Snowy Owl Continues and Amana Swans
At 8:30 this morning I drove by the Eastern Iowa Airport and saw the juv. female SNOWY OWL on an orange box-structure on the west side of
Cherry Valley Road. Later at 11:30 the owl was still present but sitting on the ground next to the box.

I also checked Amana Lily Lake and was surprised by the lack of waterfowl except for swans. Their numbers were substantial with 65 Trumpeters
and 10 Tundras. Feeding swans require some time to identifying as you have to wait for them to come up for air. And a chilly wind doesn't help.
