Subject: [CT Birds] Pachaug State Forest, bald eagles (Griswold)
Sunday in Pachaug State Forest between visits to Heron and Beachdale Pond results were near identical to a month ago, a couple bald eagles, small flocks of golden-crowned kinglets and juncos very active foraging insects, some eastern bluebirds and WBN, some woodpeckers.  Heard some grackles and red-winged blackbirds but no evidence of the larger flock now.  No early migrants like a phoebe or gnatcatcher seen.   Most of the ducks were downtown for the weekend.   Brian Williams
