Thank you so much for sharing this info and photos! Several years ago I had some very young Minks come running by me as I was gardening near the forest at the edge of my yard, which is uphill from a stream. It's a rare animal to get to see.

To follow-up on the buteo that I observed yesterday in Clarke County, it has been IDed as a "heavy" juvenile Red-tailed Hawk (abieticola) by Jerry Liguori. I appreciate his input and for those of you who wrote me off line I wanted to share with you what the ID outcome was. Today, I visited several sites in Virginia and West Virginia. The most interesting observation in Virginia was a Tundra Swan in Frederick County. In West Virginia I photographed a mink, Peregrine Falcon, Common Merganser, Rusty Blackbird with a flight shot of a Wood Duck. http://visitingnature.com/main/march-2018/ Enjoy each day, Allen Allen Bryan Winchester & Richmond, Va. www.visitingnature.com *** You are subscribed to va-bird as <marlenecondon...> If you wish to unsubscribe, or modify your preferences please visit https://mailman.listserve.com/listmanager/listinfo/va-bird *** *** You are subscribed to va-bird as <lists...> If you wish to unsubscribe, or modify your preferences please visit https://mailman.listserve.com/listmanager/listinfo/va-bird ***
