Subject: [obol] Tree swallows plus - southwest of Eugene
Sightings this morning:

Since last Tuesday we have had visits from Tree swallows each day, checking
out our nest boxes.

This morning they were landing on the boxes, pursued by a pair of Western
Bluebirds who have also been seen/heard each day.

Today we also heard the Golden-crowned sparrows tuning up their songs for
the first time.

A pair of Ruby-crowned kinglets were foraging in the trees near a small
stream. The male was singing and displaying his red crown the whole time!

In spite of the fog and cool temperatures, the birds are getting ready for
