Today's Mountwood Bird Club outing to the Sandy Creek Backwater and surrounding area was attended by Barb Hohman, Lucine Wright, Jeanette & Dick Esker, Bill Butler, Archie Carpenter, Pat Collins, Jason White, and myself. Snow in almost white-out conditions on the way to Northwest Drive. Very few ducks on the river. A few at the Backwater (BW) and Belleville Wetlands (BeW).

On the way to Northwest Drive I saw 9 Scaup - sp in the river at Spencer's Landing and two adult Bald Eagles. One soaring over Joe Skinner Road above Belpre and the other in a tree on Blennerhassett Island viewed from Civitan Park in Belpre.
