Subject: Question about cranes in high wind
On a day like today, with wind gusts of 60 mph or more, I was wondering how sandhill cranes deal with it. Are their bodies streamline enough that they can face into the wind and continue to feed somewhat normally? Or do some of them try to sort of hunker down in tall grass or reeds to avoid the strongest wind gusts?
