Two crows dived on and chased an immature Red-tail--possibly PDX Raptors-tagged 6/N previously seen in this area on 2/9--from the roof of Burlington Tower at NW 10th & Lovejoy. This suggests a territorial pair of crows already nesting or preparing to do so.

Max Planck is supposed to have said: A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.Andreas Wagner observed of Planck's remark: Science, like nature, advances one funeral at a time.
