I birded the north shore and jetty of Yaquina Bay this morning and found a very cooperative and photogenic Lapland Longspur on the jetty dune just before the rock jetty starts. In addition, the willows along the shore trail toward the bridge are starting to bloom and the birdlife was impressive. A single blooming willow in particular had a number of warblers, hummingbirds, bushtits, chickadees, and kinglets (all at once). Photo’s of many of them in the linked checklist below. A beautiful day on the Oregon Coast!
The continuing Ruff was also found and photographed at the Beaver Creek marsh yesterday.
