Subject: [COBOL] Smith Rock Birds

Hi all, went for a hike at Smith Rock today, I was pleasantly surprised to see a large flock of Gray-crowned Rosy Finches cascading down slope towards me. On reaching a better view point just above the rest room near morning glory, One of the many climbers present shouted which sent the Finches swirling into the air, the flock briefly surrounded me then headed off towards the footbridge. I looked for them on my way back but never saw them again. It was around 1.00pm, the Birds numbered 80 to 100.

Other Birds seen:

Peregrine 1
American Kestrel 1
Golden Eagle
Bald Eagle
Lincoln's Sparrow 1
Fox Sparrow 1
