Subject: [AZNMbirds] Marana Burrowing Owls- FOUR, Mountain Bluebirds
Wandered in and out along the road to the Marana Water Treatment Plant. Found the first two Burrowing Owls where I noted in previous posts. The second pair were farther west on the lot. Markers for the second pair are: From the gate at the start of the lot, there are periodic large pipes anchoring the fence row. go to the 5th one from the ones at the gate, it has a patch of turquoise paint at its base. Look to the righthand radio tower for alignment. These two were 70-80 yards out, slightly to the right of the line to the tower.
Sparrows: White-crowned, Vesper, Lark, Savannah… no Lark Buntings today.

At the corner of North Luckett and West Hardin Roads (Sign missing) there are a pair of Pecan Trees. There were at least 9 female Mountain Bluebirds roosting at 5 PM along with close to 100 Mourning Doves.
