Subject: [CT Birds] Moraine Trail, Meigs Point, Hammonasset - King Eider, Red Necked Grebe, Iceland Gull
So, and well, in a dense fog and pelting rain three hen King eider were keeping the company of common eider, surf scoter and a red necked grebe. The previously reported Iceland Gull didn’t seem to mind the weather and scores of dunlin were scavenging for this and that along the water’s edge. Turnstones were helping the search, mostly looking under slipper shells, but added only themselves to my list.

This list is provided by the Connecticut Ornithological Association (COA) for the discussion of birds and birding in Connecticut.
