Subject: [CT Birds] Greater White-fronted Goose - Farmington 1/25 - better directions
At noon today, a Greater White-fronted Goose was among several hundred Canada Geese congregating on the Farmington River in Farmington. I gave somewhat imperfect directions to the site earlier today.

From the intersection of Route 10 and Meadow Road, go approx. half a mile to a parking lot on your right with a sign reading "Larry Kolp Community Garden Plots". From the parking lot, walk along the river until the tree belt thins out (about 1/4 mile) and scan the geese for the GWFG. The flock was quite skittish, with many of the Canadas lifting into the air and circling around, so I can't guarantee that the exotic goose will stay put. There were also three male Ring-necked Ducks with scores of Mallards.
