Subject: [MDBirding] C & O COUNT...LET'S GO...!!!
It's not ideal, but for what it's worth:

SHORT NOTICE: The C & O count is ON, but with a change from a narrow
one-day "snapshot" to a week's long + "panoramic" overview beginning
on 1/27 and ending on 4 February. There will be NO SPECIFIC MILEAGE
ASSIGNMENTS given. Duplicate counts will be expected for some miles
and happily accepted. Counts may be, per e-bird standards, either
"traveling" or "stationary." For "stationary" counts, birders should
stand at the mileposts and count for a minimum of 20 minutes. In the
event that there is a structure [the Brunswick water filtration plant
comes to mind] at the milepost, the counter should move appropriately
up or down stream and note that in the remarks. All counts to be
posted to e-bird & SHARED with Jim Speicher [<jugornought...>;
ebird username: jugornought], or Frank Boyle who together will
endeavor to come up with a compilation.

Obviously, forward as appropriate.
