Subject: [HMBirds] Birds of prey at Albany airport
The Thursday birders found a good assortment of birds of prey at Albany Airport this morning, including at least two light Rough-legged Hawks, a young male Northern Harrier with some brown remaining in his plumage, and a Snowy Owl well hidden in a swale. Not well hidden enough, though, to escape the notice of a pair of Common Ravens who dropped in to investigate. Both the Harrier and one of the Roughies were eating some small prey.
