This is a new route, starting on the Gettysburg Battlefield, skirting the southern border of the county to Fairfield and then a little way back east. Avoids overlap with existing route run by Deb Siefken.
County: Adams Date: Jan 25 2018 Observers: Andy Wilson Total time on route: 2hr 14min Start time & end time: 815 - 1029 (a bit early in morning, but will need to do before work. Will stick with start time henceforth) Miles on route: 28.67 (measured using eBird app, split route into 11 personal locations and did 11 traveling counts, each between 1 and 3.6 miles) Snow depth: zero Temperature: 27-32F (29F average) Wind: moderate Sky: sunny
Turkey Vulture - 18 Black Vulture - 21 Northern Hairier - 1 (juv) Red-tailed Hawk - 5 (3 ad/ 2 nd) - I think this is a low count for this area! Red-shouldered Hawk - 5 (5 adults) Cooper's Hawk - 1 (nd) American Kestrel - 1 (male)
