Hi Maine-birders:

Gilsland Farm’s trails are pretty icy so we decided to go looking for Snowy Owls during the bird walk this morning. There were two visible at the southeast end of the Portland International Jetport, viewed from Lydia Ln, an extension of Brickhill Ave. The most surprising was the first bird we saw, perched on a light post along I-295 directly across from Exit 4 (on the southbound side). You should obviously be responsible driving and watch the road but anyone driving on 295 south of Portland might want to peak at lamp posts.

Good birding,
