The Springmaid pier was about 80% destroyed during last year's hurricane and
has yet to be rebuilt.
And there has been a Common Eider hanging around the MB State Park pier for
the last few weeks.

If it disappears from the 2nd Ave. Pier, the nearby Springmaid Pier
and Myrtle Beach State Park Pier are worth checking. As is the
Garden City Pier - that's where the hen King Eider hung out in 2004.

I hope she stays away from the idiot jump-shooting duck hunter
wannabes prowling Murrells Inlet and surrounds.

Hi All,

If anyone sees the 2nd Ave Pier King Eider in Myrtle Beach today or tomorrow
please post. I don't think I've seen the eider on CarolinaBirds yet.

Thanks so much and Good Birding All!
