A female Summer Tanager was on private property in Costa Mesa today. This is a spot I'd normally look forward to doing on the CBC, as it was good for orioles (most notably, Orchards). Unfortunately, some 'very stable geniuses' with chain saws have recently had their way with the place. Sad. A Red-breasted Sapsucker was in eucalyptus trees at the end of 19th. No luck with the Pacific/Winter Wren at Canyon Park.
