This morning there was a RUDDY TURNSTONE with Surfbirds and Black Turnstones, all feeding on the rocks at the edge of the bath ruins.
The drake CINNAMON TEAL, first reported on the SF CBC 12/27/17, continues in the pond. It was in view briefly at the edge of the Myriophyllum (Parrot's feather) before scurrying out of sight when a foraging Great Egret waded by. Based on the awkward and unbalanced manner in which the teal was moving I suspect it is injured. Perhaps it was struck by one of the several much celebrated Peregrines known to hunt the Land's End/Golden Gate Channel area.
