Subject: [MBBIRDS] Carmel Valley Ranch birds
Abnormally good day at the ranch yesterday. There were two adult male
common mergansers (COME) along with four juvis and/or females.

Two belted kingfishers (BEKI) appeared to be having a loud argument that
went on for five minutes along the river next to the employee parking lot.

Two couples of American green-winged teals (AGWT) and a family of cinnamon
teals (CITE) were dabbling along with the usual mallards and coots.
Buffleheads (BUFF) were present in their usual numbers (about ten), along
with the half-dozen resident double-crested cormorants (DCCO).
