on a beautiful sunny cool day in Reno, we found a suite of mountain birds at Davis Creek Park today. In the tall pines in the campground, we found a mixed foraging party of Pygmy and White-breasted Nuthatches, Hairy Woodpeckers, a White-headed Woodpecker, Golden-crowned and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Mountain Chickadees and Yellow-rumped Warblers. At Bowers Mansion, a Red-breasted Nuthatch tooted from very tall pines on the park grounds.
